Turkmenistan is taking targeted measures to provide state support and stimulate small and medium-sized businesses in the country. One of the main tasks currently assigned to Turkmen entrepreneurs is to increase production of import-substituting products.
According to the Rysgal newspaper’s Monday issue, Kerwenler Individual Enterprise has produced tens of tons of woolen yarn and about six thousand meters of carpet products and bedspreads since April this year.
The company’s new Ýüň Ýüplük we Dokma (Wool Yarn and Textiles) production facility consists of a spinning and weaving mill, which produces wool yarn and wool yarn mixed with polyester from high-quality sheep's wool. The company also established the production of high-quality yarn from 100% wool for the manufacture of Turkmen carpets.
The weaving shop produces rugs and bedspreads of various sizes, high quality wool and semi-wool blankets. The workshop is designed to produce 13,000 meters of products monthly, and 156,000 meters annually. The enterprise also has the capacity to produce 7,500 woolen blankets per month and 90,000 woolen blankets per year.
The company's products are presently supplied to retail outlets in the capital and regions of the country. In the future, the company plans to increase its product range, and to establish their export.
