Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan amounted to $323.6 million during the first nine months of 2020, the Uzbekistan Daily (UzDaily) media outlet reported on Thursday citing the data of State Statistics Committee of the country.
According to the report, Uzbekistan imported $225.9 million worth of Turkmen products during the period. At the same time, the country’s exports to Turkmenistan amounted to $97.8 million.
Over the first nine months of this year, the largest volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover was carried out with China – $4.6 billion, while exports amounted to $1.4 billion, and imports - $3.2 billion.
Russia became the second largest trading partner of Uzbekistan. Bilateral trade turnover between the countries amounted to $4.1 billion. Of the total trade turnover, export of Uzbek goods to Russia amounted to $1.1 billion, while import to Uzbekistan amounted to $3 billion.
Other main partners of Uzbekistan by trade turnover are Kazakhstan ($2 billion), Korea (around 1.6 billion), Turkey (around 1.43 billion), Kyrgyzstan ($660.7 million), Germany ($574 million), Afghanistan ($542.9 million) and Tajikistan ($358.8 million)
During the reported period, cars with a total value of $349.3 million were imported to Uzbekistan.
