Turkmenistan’s Altyn Tug Grows Eight Varieties of Tomatoes
Around 150 greenhouses with a total area of 1,300 hectares are expected to open next year in Turkmenistan.

The modern greenhouse complex of Altyn Tug Individual Enterprise grows large quantities of vegetables all year round, including 8 varieties of tomatoes, 2 varieties of bell peppers and 3 varieties of strawberries.

According to Rysgal newspaper’s Monday issue, the greenhouse complex produces 2,500 tons of tomatoes, 20 tons of strawberries and 4 tons of bell peppers annually.

The total area of ​​the Altyn Tug’s greenhouse is 12 hectares. Planting of seedlings, watering and harvesting of the crops are carried out automatically in the greenhouse.

The greenhouse complex, located in S.A. Niyazov etrap in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz velayat, presently employs 120 people.

Turkmen businesses have commissioned more than a hundred greenhouse farms with a total area of more than 356 hectares. Around 150 modern greenhouses with a total area of 1,300 hectares are expected to open next year.
