Turkmenistan Attends 27th OSCE Ministerial Council Meeting
The two-day meeting gathered foreign ministers of OSCE member states.

Turkmen delegation led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov participated in the 27th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry’s Thursday press release, the two-day meeting gathered foreign ministers of OSCE member states.

Speaking at the plenary session, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reaffirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to multifaceted cooperation with the OSCE. The Turkmen side proposed to consider the possibility of developing a single OSCE strategy in the field of security - a new international legal instrument aimed at addressing a number of interrelated political, socio-economic and humanitarian issues.

The participants were presented with specific proposals to improve cooperation on the OSCE platform, in particular, in the field of social, economic, environmental and energy security.

Noting the importance of widely using the political-diplomatic methods in resolving any contentious issues in international relations, the meeting participants approved the constructive approach of the Turkmen side to the solution of such issues and the practical steps taken in this direction.
