President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a government meeting on Monday discussed the implementation of projects aimed at ensuring the socio-economic revival of Afghanistan.
According to the TDH news agency’s report, a gas compressor unit at Malaý gas field in Lebap velayat, the Akina-Andkhoy railway line, the Ymamnazar-Akina international fiber-optic communication system, and Serhetabat-Turgundi in Mary velayat, and power lines from the Kerki power plant to the Turkmen-Afghan border were listed among the facilities built and ready for commissioning.
Turkmen President noted that the commissioning of these facilities will help strengthen international relations of Turkmenistan with the neighboring state, improve the life of the Afghan people and the peoples of the countries of the region.
In addition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov instructions related to the organization of Turkmen delegation’s working trip to Afghanistan, preparation and holding of inter-ministerial consultations with Afghan partners.
