Turkmen delegation led by the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan (the Russian Federation) Atadurdy Bayramov on Tuesday held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Mordovia of Russia.
The Mordovian side was represented by Chairman of the Mordovia Republic Government Vladimir Sushkov, General Director of Technopark-Mordovia Viktor Yakub, Rector of Ogarev Mordovia State University Sergei Vdovin, and Turkmen students studying at the university.
The meeting participants discussed further strengthening of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation, including at the regional level.
The sides proposed to intensify trade and economic cooperation with Russian regions in the Volga-Kama basin, including Mordovia, within the framework of the upcoming Summit of Heads of the Caspian Littoral States in 2021 in Turkmenistan.
The meeting participants also proposed to consider the matters of concluding relevant contracts and agreements between the universities of Turkmenistan and the Mordovia to develop cooperation in the fields of science and education.
In addition, the Turkmen side made proposal to hold a number of events on the theme of the peacekeeping policy of Turkmenistan on the basis of the Mordovian universities this year, which has been declared in Turkmenistan as the year “Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust”.
