Ýigit Economic Society this season aims to harvest 12.5 thousand tons of tomatoes from its greenhouse complex in Kaka etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat.

The company supplies its high quality vegetables under Mahmal trademark to domestic and foreign markets, according to Neytralny Turkmenistan newspaper’s Wednesday issue.

The greenhouse complex is equipped with modern machinery from such foreign companies as Siemens and Grundfos. This allows to maintain all parameters necessary for optimal growth of plants and seedlings in the greenhouse – humidity and temperature conditions. The complex also has artificial lighting and ventilation systems.

The company presently grows Marmelans, Altes, Merlis and other varieties of tomatoes distinguished by excellent taste, the newspaper said, adding that the agricultural grower tests 11 more varieties of tomatoes in a separate block of the greenhouse complex.

The greenhouse complex was commissioned in February 2019 and currently employs around 500 people.
