Turkmenistan to Export 540 Thousand Tons of Oil Through Russia
The export of Turkmen oil will be carried out through the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.

Turkmenistan will export 540 thousand tons of oil in transit through Russia in the third quarter of this year, the Moscow-based Interfax news agency reported on Monday with reference to the document on the schedule of Russian oil exports for the Q3 of 2021.

The export of Turkmen oil will be carried out through the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk. Turkmenistan ranks second in oil transit through Russia following Kazakhstan, according to the report.

In the third quarter of 2021, Kazakhstan plans to increase its oil transit transportation through Russia to Ust-Luga from 1.7 million tons to 1.9 million tons, and to reduce transport supplies through Novorossiysk from 2.3 million tons to 1.8 million tons.

Export of Turkmen oil through the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk resumed in February 2019. In the second quarter of this year, the transit of Turkmen oil through Russia amounted to 500 thousand tons.
