The delegations of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats of Turkmenistan visited Khorezm and Bukhara regions of Uzbekistan, respectively, the official Turkmen media reported on Friday.
The delegations consisted of representatives of the regional administrations, entrepreneurs, members of local state production enterprises and the cultural sphere, as well as agricultural producers.
During the visit to Bukhara region, the delegation of Lebap velayat visited the recently commissioned cultural center in the Karakul district, an exhibitions of Uzbek entrepreneurs and industrial products of the region, the Bukhara textile factory, historical monuments and museums. The delegation also got acquainted with private greenhouse complexes in the region.
In Khorezm region, the Dashoguz delegation got acquainted with the activities on keeping livestock and creating feed in the livestock complex of the Shavat district. The complex includes around 800 cattle imported from other countries for meat production. The livestock complex also has a milk processing plant with a capacity of 6 tons per day.
The delegation also visited Uztex Group, Uztex Shovot and Katgala Tekstil enterprises operating in Khorezm region and got acquainted with their production processes.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a cabinet meeting on Monday signed a Resolution on the dispatch of delegations of Lebap and Dashoguz velayats to Bukhara and Khorezm regions in order to develop constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
