Turkmen company Kökçi has produced 36,430 batteries since the beginning of 2021, a 14,484 unit year-on-year increase, the country’s official media reported on Friday.
The company produces 7 types of storage batteries with a capacity of 60, 65, 75, 90, 100, 190 and 200 amp-hours. The products are designed for cars and trucks.
Kökçi obtains the necessary raw materials for production by recycling the old batteries.
The company closely interacts with the chemical plant named after S.A. Niyazov in Turkmenabat, the administrative center of Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap, according to the report.
The products of Kökçi are sold in local market and exported to neighboring Afghanistan.
Founded in 2016, the enterprise is located in the 2nd industrial zone of Turkmenabat and employs 110 people.
