The Vice-Premier of Turkmenistan Chary Gylyjov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the activities to ensure the high level of the country’s participation in the World Expo-2025.
The World Expo-2025 will be held in the artificial island of Yumeshima in Japan’s Osaka city under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives".
The Vice-Premier submitted for consideration to the Head of State proposals on the establishment of the relevant Organizing Committee and the appointment of the responsible representative of Turkmenistan to carry out the necessary organizational works with the Expo-2025 Organizing Committee, the official media reports.
Following the report, the Turkmen Leader said the participation of Turkmenistan in the World Expo-2025 will open up broad prospects for demonstrating export opportunities and building up mutually beneficial cooperation with all interested parties.
Focusing on the importance of achieving practical results in preparation for the World Exhibition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice Premier to oversee the timely solution of organizational issues and continue work in this direction.
Turkmenistan is presently taking part in the Expo 2020 Dubai. In early October, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and took part in the opening ceremony of the National Day of Turkmenistan at the World Expo.
