Cotton Mill in Turkmenistan’s Lebap Exports 60% of Its Products
The factory’s yarn was shipped to Turkey, Iran, Poland, Armenia and Russia.

A cotton-spinning factory in the village of Chokhpetde in Halach etrap of Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap exported more than 60% of its yarn produced in the first ten months of this year. The exports amounted to more than 28.8 million manats.

The factory’s yarn was shipped to Turkey, Iran, Poland, Armenia and Russia, the country’s official media reported on last Thursday.

The factory’s total production from January to October of 2021 exceeded 43.97 million manats, instead of 9.41 million manats envisaged by the plan. The mill’s yarn output during the period amounted to 4,350 tons, the 149.5% growth rate compared to the same period last year.

The factory produces yarns NM-34/1, NM-20/1, NM-17/1, NM-14/1 and NM-27/1. The high quality of the products results in the in the high demand, according to the report.

The cotton-spinning factory is operated by the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
