Balkandokma Closed Joint Stock Company of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan produced 3,870 tons of cotton yarn in January-October 2021, increasing production by 40% compared to the same period last year, the ministry said on Monday.
The enterprise, located in the city of Serdar in the country’s western velayat of Balkan velayat, produced yarn worth 68 million manats this year, which is more than twice as much as in 2020.
The enterprise is designed to annually produce 11 thousand tons of cotton yarn from 13 thousand tons of cotton fiber. The company's products are sent not only to domestic markets, but also to Turkey and European countries.
Balkandokma CJSC, which produces high-quality yarn from cotton grown in different velayats, opened in 2004. The enterprise employs 645 specialists.
