Turkmen Consul in Kazan Visits Tatneft’s Facilities

Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Atadurdy Bayramov on Wednesday paid a working visit to the facilities of Tatneft PJSC in the city of Almetyevsk in Russia’s Tatarstan Republic and held talks with the General Director of the company Nail Maganov.

The Consul General got acquainted with the activities of the Tatneft’s Modeling Center, including its capabilities in building geological and hydrodynamic models for oil fields, the Russian oil and gas company said in its press release.

During the meeting, Bayramov and Maganov discussed the strategy of further mutually beneficial cooperation presented by Tatneft specialists, which will allow doubling oil production at the fields of Turkmenistan. The sides also considered the training of students from Turkmenistan at the Almetyevsk State Oil Institute (ASOI) on the master's program in geological and hydrodynamic modeling, which allows increasing the competence of specialists in the field of oil production, according to the company’s statement.

In its statement, the Turkmen Consulate General said on the same day, Bayramov met with the first Vice-Rector of the ASOI Yuri Vasilenko, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying at the university. The Consul General urged students to actively participate in sports, cultural and other events, to attend the activities of the university, aimed at improving both theoretical and practical skills.

The partnership in the field of crude oil and gas production between Tatneft and the Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern at the Goturdepe field has been developing for over 10 years. Within the framework of a service contract, Tatneft specialists are implementing a production program to enhance crude oil recovery at the wells of Goturdepe field.

The application of geological and technical measures has allowed increasing the production by 18%. At the beginning of November, geological and technical measures carried out at 197 wells made it possible to additionally produce more than 400 thousand tons of crude oil and create more than 700 jobs.
