Turkmen private enterprise producing Gerçek branded footwear has increased its production 30% compared to last year, producing over eight million pairs, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Saturday.
The enterprise in Mary velayat produces open and closed footwear from synthetic and environmentally friendly materials. The company has already mastered the production of over 650 types of footwear for all seasons – various types of slippers for children, men and women, sports shoes, rubber boots. It also produces schoolbags and more wear products.
The shoemakers use artificial leather, yarn of different colors, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride as raw materials. The annual production capacity of the shoe company exceeds 19.5 million pairs.
The company has seven workshops. Recently, a new section for the manufacture of jewelry and embroidery for the design of women's shoes appeared at the enterprise. At the beginning of next year, the company will launch three more shoe-making lines, which will produce from 100 to 150 new types of products, according to the report.
The private enterprise Gerçek was founded in 2015. More than 500 employees work here. The company's products are reportedly in demand not only in the local market but are also exported to countries such as Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. The company is presently negotiating the supply of its footwear to Kazakhstan.
