President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a message to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in which he said that he took the news of the Turkish Leader and his wife falling ill with a coronavirus infection with great regret.
"I firmly believe that you with your strong will and resilience will overcome this disease in a short time," President Berdimuhamedov said in the message, stating his readiness in these difficult days of life to fully support and, if necessary, provide assistance, the country’s official media reported on Sunday.
"I sincerely wish you, dear brother, and your spouse a speedy recovery and pray to the Almighty to bestow upon you good health and long years of life," the message of the Turkmen President and his spouse emphasizes.
Erdogan announced on Saturday that he and his wife had tested positive for the coronavirus infection. On Sunday, the Turkish President stated he continues to work remotely as medics said he has a mild form of the disease.
