Who Can Become a Realtor in Turkmenistan?
The qualification certificate of a realtor is issued for a period of three years.

In accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan on Real Estate Activity, individuals who have a qualification certificate of a realtor can carry out professional activities as a realtor.

The qualification certificate of a realtor is issued on the basis of attestation of individuals applying for professional activities as a realtor (hereinafter referred to as attestation).

The authorized body shall create an Attestation Commission and approve its composition in order to conduct the attestation. The attestation shall be conducted by the Attestation Commission in accordance with the Regulations on the procedure of conducting the attestation of real estate agents, approved by the authorized body.  

Individuals with higher legal education or higher education in management, economics, finance, construction or other higher engineering and technical education, who have completed additional professional training in the sphere of realtor activity, are eligible for attestation.

Individuals shall not be admitted to attestation:

1) having a criminal record that has not been canceled or not withdrawn in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Turkmenistan;

2) whose qualification certificates were canceled during the three years preceding the moment of their attestation.

The qualification certificate of a realtor is issued for a period of three years.
