Turkmenistan, Iran Discuss Healthcare Cooperation
The sides discussed the current status and prospects of development of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation in healthcare, as well as the medical and pharmaceutical industries.

Turkmen Healthcare and Medical Industry Minister Nurmuhammet Amannepesov held a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Golam Abbas Arbab Khales, the official Turkmen media reported on Thursday, citing the press service of the Iranian Embassy.

The sides discussed the current status and prospects of development of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation in healthcare, as well as the medical and pharmaceutical industries.

The meeting also featured an exchange of views on expansion of cooperation in joint scientific research, taking into account the use of each other's experience in combating diseases, as well as expansion of scientific exchange and production of medicines.

At the end of the talks, the participants confirmed a high interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in healthcare and medical industry for the health of citizens of the two countries.
