The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $13.57 million.
For foreign currency, the UK businesses purchased aviation kerosene produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the companies from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan bought liquefied gas of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.
The Afghan and Uzbek businesses purchased desulfurized diesel fractions of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern. Additionally, the business circles from Russia, the UAE and Kyrgyzstan purchased terry products and cotton yarn for foreign currency.
The companies from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan bought cotton yarn and hand-made carpets for nearly 800 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased technical sulphur of Türkmengaz, high-density polyethylene of Türkmenhimiýa, and hand-made carpets. The total amount of these transactions neared 654.5 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 54 transactions last week.
