Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov held in Moscow a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation of the II Caspian Economic Forum, scheduled for October, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia said in its press release issued on Thursday.
During the forum that will take place in October 5-6 in Russian capital Moscow, representatives of five countries of the Caspian region – Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Russia –will discuss topical issues of cooperation.
"Holding of the Caspian Economic Forum is especially topical for the five countries now – it is the first meeting in the conditions of new realities. We have additional opportunities for expanding business cooperation,” Reshetnikov said during meeting, adding that “there are common interests in the development of logistics, energy and tourism cooperation.”
The upcoming forum, in the light of the results of the VI Caspian Summit held in Ashgabat on June 29, 2022, will discuss topical issues in the field of transport and logistics, energy, tourism, healthcare, organize discussions on climate and modernization of industries.
The First Caspian Economic Forum was held on August 12, 2019 in Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.
