President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his birthday during a telephone conversation on Thursday.
The Head of Uzbekistan wished President Berdimuhamedov good health, well-being and great success, as well as prosperity to the fraternal Turkmen people, the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan said in its press release.
During the phone call, the sides discussed current issues of further development of Uzbek-Turkmen relations. The Presidents paid particular attention the agenda of forthcoming high-level talks. They noted the ample opportunities for building up the volumes of mutual trade, for deepening cooperation in manufacturing, energy, transport and agriculture, for expanding the cultural-humanitarian ties.
The Heads of State also exchanged views on the prospects of regional interaction.
In conclusion of conversation, President of Uzbekistan congratulated the President and people of Turkmenistan on the forthcoming state holiday – Independence Day, and expressed wishes of peace, sustainable development and progress of Turkmenistan.
