General Agreement on the supply of Toyota automobiles with the preliminary cost of $90 million and Komatsu earthmoving machinery worth over $470 million is currently being implemented, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, informed during a working breakfast with the heads of leading Japanese companies last Tuesday.
The event was held within the framework of the visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan from September 25 to October 1.
The meeting gathered the heads of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Sanko Selko Co. Ltd, Komatsu Ltd, Itochu Corp., Mitsubishi Corp., Sumitomo Corp., Marubeni, Sojits Corp., JGC, as well as the Co-Chairman of Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation, Chairman of Board of Rönesans Holding and Çalık Holding, the official Turkmen media reported on Sunday.
During the meeting, the sides also considered the construction of the second phase of facilities for the production of petroleum and fertilizer products in Turkmenistan.
