Afghanistan has for the first time exported goods to Türkiye over land through Aqina dry port in northern Faryab province, Ariana news agency reported on Wednesday.
A convoy of trucks will travel overland through Turkmenistan and Iran to reach Türkiye, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan said in a statement.
According to the report, Afghanistan’s domestic transport companies are handling the logistics.
Afghanistan's railway network is currently connected to Turkmenistan's railway system through two border points, Turghundi and Aqina.
