Rashid Meredov added that the Silovyie Mashiny Joint Stock Company is currently working on a project to modernize the Mary power plant and thermal power plant in the city of Turkmenbashi.
The Foreign Minister also stated that serious prospects are opening up in transport and logistics, where cooperation in railway transport and shipbuilding is a special priority.
"Currently, a number of other Russian regions, in particular, the Chelyabinsk, Orel and Sverdlovsk regions are interested in working with Turkmenistan, and we welcome it," said the Foreign Minister, confirming the willingness of Ashgabat to discuss such plans with the leadership and business circles of the Russian regions.
According to the report, the sphere of high technology, development of which the Russian government pays special attention, including through international cooperation, was singled out as a promising area for bilateral cooperation.
