Tajikistan to Host Central Asian Heads’ Summit in September
The first summit of the Heads of States of the Central Asian countries was held in March 2018 in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana.

The fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States will be held in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe on September 14-16.

On the same days, the Tajik capital will also host the meeting of the Founding Council of the Heads of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan said in its Tuesday press release.

The fourth Consultative Meeting of the Presidents of the region was held in Kyrgyzstan’s resort town Cholpon-Ata in June 2022. The meeting discussed issues of regional cooperation, as well as trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian partnerships.

The first summit of the Heads of States of the Central Asian countries was held in March 2018 in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana, the second – in November 2019 in Tashkent, and the third – in August 2021 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan.
