Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, on Saturday during a working trip to Ashgabat pointed to the slow pace of construction of social purpose facilities in the capital entrusted to members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The remarks on this matter were addressed to Baymyrat Annamammedov, the Duputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers overseeing the industrial and construction complex, and Ashgabat Mayor Rahym Gandymov. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated that the responsible parties will be held legally responsible for their shortcomings, the official Turkmen media reports.
The Halk Maslahaty Chairman told the Ashgabat Mayor to carry out his duties very responsibly and said the activities of private construction companies do not meet the requirements of the time, expressing dissatisfaction with the work of the Mayor in this area.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov urged the Head of the capital's administration to take necessary measures to accelerate the pace of construction of the shopping center near the Garagum Hotel in the northern part of Ashgabat and the shopping center being built on Magtymguly Avenue.
During his trip to Ashgabat, the Halk Maslahaty Chairman inspected the final stage of construction of the Magtymguly Pyragy park complex being built in the southern part of the capital, and met with Igor Bukato, the head of the Russian group of design and construction companies Vozrozhdeniye.
