Türkiye held events dedicated to the Day of Democracy and National Unity on July 15. Commemorative events were held in all parts of the country, but the capital, Ankara, received the most attention.
Several events were held in the city, including the laying of flowers at the memorial located opposite the presidential residence. The events were attended by the witnesses of those events, as well as the Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
At the Democracy Museum - An exhibition of paintings "July 15 in 15 Frames" was opened in Ankara on July 15, commemorating the events of the prevention of the 2016 coup attempt. The exhibition presents the works of artist Mehmet Korkmaz, with the painting of the Turkish president's historic live broadcast speech attracting the most attention of the guests.
Representatives of various media outlets including Business Turkmenistan attended the events in Ankara.
The Cultural Center of the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan hosted a commemoration ceremony and a photo exhibition in honor of the Democracy and National Unity Day of Türkiye.
On July 15, 2016, tragic events took place in Türkiye, resulting in the deaths of more than 250 people. In October of the same year, this same day was declared the Day of Democracy and National Unity on the initiative of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
