The Agzybir ojak company launched a modern sesame and safflower seed processing plant in the fourth quarter of 2024, producing environmentally friendly and high-quality vegetable oil under the Aria Sun brand, reported Chary Charyyev, international news correspondent for the Altyn Asyr: Türkmenistan television channel under Turkmenistan’s State Committee for Television, Radio, and Cinematography, to the online publication Business Turkmenistan.

The plant is located in the Ahal velayat, in the Gokdepe district. Its total area is 3.5 hectares, and its annual production capacity allows for the production of 4,500 tons of vegetable oil using the cold-pressing method.

In a workshop equipped with modern Turkish oil presses, sesame and safflower seeds are processed using cold pressing, producing vegetable oil as the final product.

The company shares its experience in safflower cultivation with local farmers and plans to increase oil production volumes. It also intends to collaborate with agricultural research institutes, provide technical assistance to farmers wishing to grow safflower, and sign agreements for crop procurement.

Safflower is a drought-resistant crop that requires minimal water. The harvested crop is delivered to the grain reception warehouse, where it is prepared for oil extraction using automated equipment in the grain cleaning workshop. The technologies also allow for the selection of seeds for next year's planting.
