Two new modern driver training centers have opened in the Turkmen cities of Balkanabat and Dashoguz. The facilities, built at the request of the Automobile School Association under the Türkmenawtoulaglary Agency, represent a further step in developing the country’s national system of professional training, Turkmenistan’s state news agency reported on Thursday.
The opening ceremony in Balkanabat was attended by local government officials, members of the national parliament (Mejlis), community representatives, and employees of transport-related institutions. Distinguished construction workers received gifts on behalf of the president, and the regional auto school branch received a new fleet of training vehicles.
The Balkanabat center, constructed by the Ashgabat-based company Demirbetonönümleri under the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, covers more than five hectares. It includes 10 classrooms equipped with computers and multimedia tools, dedicated rooms for remote vehicle operation training, and a satellite-based GPS monitoring system that tracks trainee performance in real time.
Classrooms and workspaces are furnished with modern equipment and tools to support effective instruction and training for staff.
The Dashoguz facility, located on Oguzhan Avenue, also features up-to-date equipment and a dedicated driving practice area. The center is designed to train drivers in all license categories and offers comfortable conditions for both theoretical and practical lessons.
In addition, new driving practice grounds were inaugurated in the Lebap and Mary provinces, also commissioned by the Türkmenawtoulaglary Agency.
