The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held a press briefing Feb. 17, 2026, for representatives of Georgian media, dedicated to the 2026 motto: “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan-Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses.”
Journalists from the first television channel 1TV, the Obyektiv channel, the business publication The Georgian Business Week, media holding Europe 24, the Georgia Press organization, News Day Georgia news agency, the online outlet Geoecohub, the newspapers Resonans, Multinational Georgia, Svobodnaya Gruziya, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Vecherni Tbilisi and Vrastan, as well as representatives of the Geocase research center, took part in the briefing.
Turkmen Ambassador to Georgia Dovletgeldi Seyitmammedov said in his remarks that the 2026 motto reflects the country’s national development priorities, the cohesion of its people, and the role of Akhal-Teke horses as a symbol of Turkmenistan’s striving for progress and high achievements.
During the briefing, participants were introduced to the book by Serdar Berdimuhamedov, The Neutrality of Turkmenistan: The Bright Path of Peace and Trust.
The editor-in-chief of The Georgian Business Week, V. Miroshnichenko, presented the latest issue of the magazine dedicated to Turkmenistan. He said the issue gives readers an opportunity to learn more about Turkmenistan and the rapidly developing Turkmen-Georgian cooperation, which helps strengthen friendship and prosperity between the two peoples.
Renowned Georgian journalist and professor B. Nachkebia emphasized the significance of the neutrality policy implemented by the Turkmen president as a factor in promoting global peace and fostering friendly and fraternal relations among nations.
