Russia plans to discuss with Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan the construction of the highway around the Caspian Sea at the forum "Russia - Islamic world: KazanForum" in May, IRA Novosti news agency reported on Friday, with reference to the Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
According to the report, the respective countries may sign an agreement within the framework of the forum.
"We will hold Kazan Forum on May 18, and we plan to discuss the construction of the highway around the Caspian Sea with our colleagues from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, and possibly we will sign the agreement", Marat Khusnullin said.
Following Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin's and Marat Khusnullin's working trip to Turkmenistan at the end of January, it was revealed that the countries are discussing a joint road project - the construction of a highway along the Caspian Sea's eastern coast.
