Turkmenistan's northern province Dashoguz aims to sow 8 thousand 800 hectares of field and harvest 123 thousand 200 tons of potatoes this year, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.

In addition, the Dashoguz province administration aims to grow a rich crop of tomatoes on 970 hectares, cucumbers on 100 hectares, garlic on 780 hectares, carrots on 730 hectares, and cabbages on 385 hectares in 2023.

It is also planned to cultivate cotton on 140,000 hectares of land. The province aims to plant adapted cotton of 149-F, F-47-27, Dashoguz-127, and Serdar varieties this year.

Currently, more than 26 thousand tons of cotton seeds have been prepared for this year's harvest in cotton factories.

According to the report, relevant work was carried out in the field of efficient use of water, in particular, the use of various methods of irrigation, including drip irrigation.
