Turkmen Businessman Produces About 1 Ton of Strawberries Daily
Businessman Batyr Ravshanov grows a high-yielding variety of strawberries, "Albion", on 4.2 hectares of land.

The greenhouse of businessman Batyr Ravshanov, who is a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, produces about 1 ton of strawberries daily, the Rysgal newspaper informed on Monday.

Batyr Ravshanov grows a high-yielding variety of strawberries, "Albion", on 4.2 hectares of land allocated by the state in the Ak Bugday district of Ahal province. The flesh of this variety is fragrant, bright pink, and juicy with a unique sweet aroma.

The four-section greenhouse employs about 120 experienced specialists. Four sections enable year-round harvesting and distribution to retail outlets. 

According to the report, specialists of the enterprise carry out appropriate work to export crops to the neighboring countries. Products are expected to be shipped to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the coming days.

The greenhouse is currently growing 800 thousand of strawberry seedlings imported from abroad.
