Cattle Breeding Complex in Mary Raises 1,100 Head of Cattle

Businessman Nury Annaovezov, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, keeps 1,100 head of cattle in his cattle breeding complex, of which 60 are Simmental and more than 500 are Holstein, the Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

The cattle complex, located in Vekilbazar district of Mary province, has dozens of specialists.

According to the report, Simmental and Holstein breeds are distinguished by their large size and high milk yield and are well adapted to the climate of Turkmenistan. The rest of the cattle belongs to the local breed.

The cattle breeding complex of the businessman has about 3,800 heads of small ruminants.

The fodder base of the cattle breeding complex occupies 400 hectares of land, on which fodder crops such as corn, barley and alfalfa are grown.
