The sewing department of the Yokary Hyzmat economic society in Dashoguz produces more than 4,000 gift scarves for weddings each day, Turkmenistan newspaper reported in its Thursday edition.
The scarves are made from locally produced fabric and feature distinctive designs and decorative patterns. The gift scarves distributed at weddings also add to the decoration of wedding celebrations.
More than 30 women currently work at the sewing department. They contribute to increasing the production of competitive goods that replace imported products and help supply markets with a variety of products.
The sewing enterprise operates in a spacious production facility equipped with specialized machinery. It also has a warehouse for storing finished products and auxiliary rooms. Comfortable working conditions for the seamstresses also help increase the production of gift scarves.
