Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conducted a helicopter overflight to personally inspect the progress of construction projects in and around Ashgabat on Tuesday.
The head of state was accompanied by Baymyrat Annamammedov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the industrial and construction complex, the official Turkmen media reports.
During his inspection, Serdar Berdimuhamedov reviewed the residential buildings constructed in the Gurtly and Köşi districts. Additionally, he took the opportunity to become acquainted with the ongoing construction of residential buildings that serve various purposes in the Büzmeyin district.
The Turkmen President conducted a U-turn over the city of Arkadag, where the second stage of development for the new city has been initiated. Furthermore, the Head of State took the opportunity to acquaint himself with the ongoing restoration work at the Nisa Fortress, which holds historical significance as the centre of the Parthian state.
After that, Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected the construction progress of various medical facilities in Çoganly. These included the Dental Centre, the International Centre for Pediatrics, the International Scientific-Clinical Centre for Physiology, and the International Scientific-Clinical Centre for Oncology.
The Deputy Prime Minister then shared details about the proposed construction of a new Palace of Children and Youth in Güneşli. The President of Turkmenistan selected the construction site and instructed to announce an international tender. The new centre will include specialized programs for developing professional skills, necessitating the establishment of modern facilities and conditions.
After becoming acquainted with the progress of program reforms in Ashgabat, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing the construction of social facilities.
Upon concluding the overflight, the Turkmen President expressed his good wishes for success in addressing crucial tasks.
