Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of increasing state purchase prices for cotton and grain during a working trip to the Arkadag City on Thursday.
The event has a dual objective of stimulating farmers and preparing proposals pertinent to their needs, the official Turkmen media reports.
As reported, the purchase price increase aims to foster greater engagement among farmers by linking their efforts to the outcomes they achieve. It is expected to increase the quantity of products they produce. Ultimately, such developments are anticipated to expand the country's economic potential.
In addition, Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the necessity of creating favourable working conditions for farmers.
During the visit, the head of state announced plans to establish a modern agricultural town in the Arkadag City soon. The town will include a higher education institution and research institutes, indicating the government's dedication to promoting agricultural development and education in the region.
