In the city of Garabogaz, Turkmenbashi district in Balkan province, the urea plant, Garabogazkarbamid, achieved a milestone by producing over 1.32 thousand tons of urea fertilizers last year, with a total cost of 806 million manats.
The impressive growth rate of 122.4%, compared to 2022, amounted to more than 147 million manats, as reported by the Türkmenistan newspaper on Thursday.
The plant demonstrated robust performance by exporting over 828 thousand tons of its products to foreign markets during the reporting period.
In January of this year, the plant's chemists exceeded expectations by producing 94 thousand tons of urea fertilizers.
Foreign markets received more than 99 thousand 973 tons of urea fertilizers in the first month of this year alone.
Garabogazkarbamid, a significant industrial facility, commenced operations in September 2018 in the city of Garabogaz, Balkan province.
