President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has approved a proposal to establish a new modern production facility at the Balkanabat iodine plant. The decision was made during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held in digital format on Friday, according to Turkmen state media.
Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov presented the proposal to the President of Turkmenistan, reporting on measures to increase production at enterprises of the state concern Türkmenhimiya, including the Balkanabat iodine plant.
As noted at the meeting, Turkmenistan continues to diversify its chemical industry through the efficient use of local raw materials. The country is commissioning new enterprises based on innovative technologies, establishing modern production facilities and expanding cooperation with foreign companies.
Concluding the report, the President emphasized ongoing efforts to develop the country’s chemical industry and to strengthen export-oriented structures. Approving the proposal to organize a new modern production facility at the Balkanabat iodine plant, the Head of state issued a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.
The Cabinet meeting also reviewed several other state issues and adopted corresponding decisions.
