In the first five months of 2024, the Balkansement plant, under Turkmenistan's Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, shipped more than 311,400 tons of high-quality cement to consumers in the region and across the country.
According to the official media of Turkmenistan on Thursday, all production processes, from crushing and grinding to raw material processing, including at cement mills, are carried out automatically.
The raw materials necessary for cement production and the development of the construction industry are mined from a quarry located near the plant.
The Balkansement plant, with a design capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year, was commissioned on October 10, 2011, and is situated in the village of Jebel in the Balkan province.
