From July 27 to 31, a high-level delegation led by Azat Atamuradov, head of "Turkmendemiryollary" at the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, visited Afghanistan to discuss planned railway projects for the neighboring country.
After reviewing local conditions for the implementation of the planned projects, negotiations were held between the head of the "Turkmendemiryollary" Agency and the governor of Herat province, Noor Mohammad Islamjar. The discussions focused on the construction of a storage complex and the first phase of the Turgundi-Sanabar section of the Turgundi-Herat railway.
Noor Mohammad Islamjar highlighted the relevance of these projects, noting that they would contribute to the economic stability of Afghanistan and stimulate industrial development in the Herat province.
