Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, reviews the proposed projects for the construction of the second phase of Arkadag City, May 30, 2024, Arkadag, Turkmenistan.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working visit to Arkadag City, where he held a meeting with relevant officials and reviewed the infrastructure projects for the city's road and transport systems.

The Hero-Arkadag was presented with designs for various buildings and road infrastructure planned for the second phase of the city’s development, along with the interior and exterior decorative designs. Among the projects showcased were a modern railway station, the reconstruction of the Ashgabat-Geokdepe highway—which will include a road bridge—, a commercial-service complex, the entrance arch to the village of Yzgant, the "Taichanak" monument at the intersection of Ak Khan and Kopetdag avenues, as well as lighting systems and bridge fencing designs.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people reviewed the projects and made appropriate adjustments, emphasizing that new and renovated structures should blend harmoniously with the architectural style of the new city while ensuring the ecological standards and thoughtful placement of the buildings.

Following this, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty held a working meeting with the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan and the mayor of Arkadag City.

During the meeting, D. Orazov reported on the progress of the second phase of Arkadag’s construction and the results of a business trip to the Republic of Korea, while Arkadag City mayor, G. Mammedova, provided updates on the preparations for upcoming national calendar celebrations.
