Turkmenistan's Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection, Nury Jumashov, attended the ministerial meeting of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on Wednesday, in Seoul, where discussions focused on green development and the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the NetZero program, as reported by official Turkmen media on Friday.

Jumashov highlighted Turkmenistan's efforts to maintain ecological balance, reduce industrial impact on nature, and promote clean technologies, reaffirming the country's commitment to the Paris Agreement and the Global Methane Pledge.

In his speech, he also emphasized plans to establish a regional climate technology center in Central Asia, an initiative proposed by the President of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation also held a bilateral meeting with GGGI Chair Ban Ki-moon, who praised Turkmenistan’s support for UN green initiatives and the contributions of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The meeting explored possibilities for expanding cooperation in green technology and sustainable forestry.
