President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a Cabinet meeting on Friday, signed a resolution allowing the state enterprise of the Türkmenenergogurluşyk Ministry of Energy to contract with Röwşen for the major renovation of the buildings and structures of the capital's cable car, as well as the improvement of surrounding areas.
The renovation work will begin in January 2025 and is scheduled for completion in June 2026, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Deputy Prime Minister Baymurat Annamammedov presented the draft resolution. The Vice Premier stated that the renovation of the facility in the southern part of Ashgabat aims to meet the required standards.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Ashgabat is currently undergoing active development, with the construction of residential buildings, recreational centers, and socio-cultural facilities. After signing the document for the cable car renovation, the head of state submitted it to the Vice Premier through a digital system, instructing him to ensure timely completion of the work.
The Cabinet meeting also addressed several other issues concerning state affairs and made corresponding decisions.
