Site preparation is underway for a new 220/110/35/10 kV power substation in the Koneurgench district of Dashoguz velayat, aiming to improve the reliability and stability of electricity supply in the region, as reported by Turkmenistan’s state media on Tuesday.
The substation will receive and convert electricity from the state power plant in Dashoguz to serve industrial facilities, public utilities and other consumers across the district. The project is being implemented by order of the Dashoguzenergo Production Association.
Once operational, the new facility will replace the outdated “Novcha” substation, ensuring a stable voltage level and reducing the risk of power outages in the local grid.
The design of the facility takes into account the district’s long-term infrastructure development plans. Authorities in Turkmenistan continue to modernize the national power system, including the integration of all energy facilities into a unified, closed-loop energy ring. The Dashoguz region is undergoing phased modernization efforts to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electricity distribution.
On May 22, 2025, construction of a modern residential settlement also began in the Taze Yol Gengeshlik of Koneurgench District. The new development is being built in accordance with contemporary urban planning standards, aiming to create a comfortable and functional living environment for local residents.
