A new plant for the production of ammonia and ammonium nitrate will be built in Mary district of Turkmenistan’s Mary Velayat, Deputy Chaiman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annammammedov proposed during a government online meeting on Friday.
According to official Turkmen media, the deputy prime minister presented a report on the activities of the sector under his supervision, particularly the state concern Turkmenhimiya.
The report noted that Turkmenhimiya is currently working on producing various types of mineral fertilizers, strengthening the industry’s technical base, and establishing new production facilities. This will allow the country to fully meet domestic demand for agricultural fertilizers and export products abroad.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the government’s strong focus on producing high-quality mineral fertilizers. He noted that new, modern plants equipped with innovative technologies and equipment are being commissioned across the country.
In this context, the president approved the proposal to hold an international tender for the construction of an ammonia and ammonium nitrate plant in Mary district of Mary velayat and instructed the deputy prime minister to oversee the necessary preparations.
Other important state matters were also discussed during the meeting, and corresponding decisions were made.
