A new general education school for 400 students is under construction in Bekaryk village, located in the Khodjaily Gengeshlik of Charjew District, Lebap Velayat of Turkmenistan. Work on the project began in October 2024 and is expected to be finished by the start of the new academic year.

According to representatives of the private construction company Ussa Tirkeş, as reported by Türkmen gündogary on Thursday, the project is now in its final stages.

The villages within the Khodjaily Gengeshlik are located near the city, driving active infrastructure development. As part of the National Rural Development Program, modern social facilities are being built in the region, including schools, kindergartens and sports grounds.

Currently, more than 4,000 children attend six schools in the Gengeshlik area. The largest schools are in the villages of Yenish and Pahtachi, accommodating 640 and 624 students respectively. Both were built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people. Recently, a new building for Kindergarten No. 9 with 160 places opened in Dostluk village, which already has two other preschools.

The new school in Bekaryk village will become a significant addition to the community’s social infrastructure and a gift from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the start of the school year.

In addition, construction has begun on a new 600-seat general education school in the northern part of Dashoguz city, in the Gulistan residential area.
