The 12th EU–Central Asia High-Level Political and Security Dialogue took place in Dushanbe on July 11, 2025. The meeting brought together deputy foreign ministers and senior officials from the European External Action Service and the five Central Asian countries — Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan.
Participants discussed key aspects of regional and interregional cooperation, with a focus on strengthening political dialogue and addressing shared security challenges. The agenda also included topics such as border management, climate resilience, and countering transnational threats.
Turkmenistan was represented at the dialogue by its Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Aymyrat Gochmyradov, who emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to neutrality and constructive cooperation within multilateral frameworks. He noted the importance of building trust and expanding practical partnerships with the European Union.
The EU–Central Asia High-Level Political and Security Dialogue has become an important platform for fostering mutual understanding and promoting stability in the region. This year’s meeting reaffirmed the commitment of all sides to maintain open channels of communication and to deepen collaboration on issues of common concern.
