Member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, businessman Imamberdi Jepbarov, is producing processed olives under the Endigan brand in Etrek District of Balkan Province, Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.
The entrepreneur has developed a 9-hectare plot, of which 6 hectares are dedicated to olive plantations with more than 10,000 saplings. The remaining 3 hectares are planted with fruit orchards that yield a stable annual harvest.
The cultivation of olive trees is carried out in full compliance with agricultural standards. The resulting products are noted for their environmental purity and high taste quality.
The harvesting campaign takes place from late October to early November. The expected yield is between 15-20 kilograms per tree. To process the harvested olives, Jepbarov established a specialized processing facility that operates at full capacity during the harvest season.
Finished products under the Endigan brand are supplied to the domestic market, including retail stores and supermarkets across the country.
Olive trees, which grow to heights of 5 to 15 meters, are well adapted to local climate conditions—they are drought-resistant and maintain their green foliage year-round. The fruits are rich in vitamins, iron, and calcium, which help improve vision and support healthy digestion, the report noted.
