Turkmenistan and Belarus have reaffirmed their interest in expanding ties between the business communities of the two countries.
According to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the issue was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for the Transport and Communications Complex, Mammethan Chakiyev, and Ambassador of Belarus to Turkmenistan, Stanislav Chepurny.
The sides reviewed cooperation in the transport and communications sector, the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations, and preparations for the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission.
In May, Turkmen and Belarusian companies reached an agreement to sign contracts for the supply of top-quality fresh vegetables and fruits to Belarus.
